June 1, 200323 yr No its just his loyalty to the Spurs. Im a huge Timberwolves fan, But since the the west has won it the past couple of years I want the East to win one. I want someone other then the Spurs or Lakers winning it all every time. The Nets would be an awesome change of pace. Go Nets! I'm cheering for the Nets, but the Spurs take it in 6 sadly.

You're making the Nets out like every other eastern conference team which they arent...This team is the two time defending Conference champs, winners of 10 straight, and have swept two straight teams out of the playoffs. You're going to be surprised...Im telling you right now. the nets didnt surprise me. martin's defense was stellar.
June 5, 200323 yr Alls I can say is, Just wait. You've seen 1 game. The Nets have had 10 days of rest. Give them time to get back on track. The Spurs won because of David Robinson having a superb influence. He scored, he rebounded and he made his team a ton better. We'll have to see if he can keep that up. If he can, the Nets are in major trouble, but if he can't, the Spurs are the ones in trouble.
June 5, 200323 yr Author bulls*** on the 10 days rest. I believe that if they get blown out from the tip. It was a tie game at halftime. The 10 day rest was a NON FACTOR. Find another excuse. The Nets looked just like I expected the Eastern representative to look.....like crap.

June 6, 200323 yr Author how am i arrogant? nets fans and the national media kept on preaching that this was not your usual eastern conference team.... that the nets were good.... the nets looked like crap. tony parker outplayed jason kidd. i asked a question and i recieved no answer. i assumed all 5 nets fans ran back into their holes to hide...but if they pull out game 2 i fully expect to hear their boistrious crap.... i will be here...unlike nets fans after any spur loss.... i have seen no net fan analyze that game.....just the usual...you will get yours.... when? half a century from now? here is another question....what if the spurs take the nets back player this summer leaving them with nothing in return? that could happen from a realistic point of view..... i dont want it to....but it could.
June 6, 200323 yr 1. I dont have time to post my entire feelings on the game. Sorry. 2. If the Nets were to lose Kidd (although I feel its highly doubtful they will. If you have read any recent comments its easy to see he is nearly 95% sure he is staying in Jersey) we are still a playoff team I think. Gary Payton has said he would love to play in NJ publicly before, and Im sure Andre Miller would be a good fit here.
June 6, 200323 yr Oh and here is my 2 second analysis of game 2. Tony Parker wont outplay Jason Kidd - and the Nets will win. But - this will only happen if Deke plays 20-25 minutes and if the Jason Kidd hits his shots that we are so used to seeing him hitting. And if you dont believe that K-Mart played good Defense on Tim Duncan, you're absolutely nuts. He gives up 3-4 inches as well as quite a bit of poundage. You can't play a guy with that much of an advantage size wise any better.
June 6, 200323 yr Author Martin picked up two extremely idiotic fouls in the first half... If Mutombo plays extended minutes, I am very happy, as he is nothing more than a big stiff at this point in his career....with no offensive game and no ability to rotate on defense. As far as Kidd leaving, I am simply stating the only team he would leave Jersey for is San Antonio....and the Sprus dont have to offer anything in return... Miller is going to Utah...Payton is not going to the east coast. The Nets are a lottery team without Jason Kidd, easily. We shall see what happens tonight.... I will be here win or lose... I hope the Nets represenatives show their faces as well.
