Wasn't that awesome?? He jumped up and caught it like a cat. I was so impressed! And it seems every time he bats he makes a base hit. And he steals bases like nobody else can.

Best All Around: JP.. definitely

I think JP is one of the most underrated players in baseaball. Its a shame he dosent get more national attention, and its all because he dosent hit homeruns.

Juan Pierre is my favorite player, but to say he is the best all around I think isn't quite possible. Maybe he is #2 or #3 on the list, but he can't be number one due to his arm (power is irrelevent for him). I would have to say the best all around player is a healthy Luis Castillo, because he has incredible defense (along with a great arm), is a bonified .300 hitter, has great speed, and can hit homers given the chance. He also has the 6th Tool, the most important in baseball, the mental aspect, but almost everyone on the team does.

 

Mikey is also up there, he is probably right now the best all around hitter. From what I've seen of Choi so far he has the potential to be up there. Cabrera needs to wake up on defense and become a little more accurate with his arm, but he can do it as well. And don't count out Mr. Conine. He is a very good hitter (everyone has their slumps), plays great D in left, and is probably the smartest base runner on the team.

 

We have alot of good "all around" players here. That is why the team can be succesful like it has been and will hopefully continue to be.

Best all around player IMO is Lowell or Castillo.

 

why you guys think Pierre is the best? Castillo hits .300+ every single year. He hits way more than .300 every year. He gets more RBI's no doubt and has alot of speed, right now he doesnt have more than Pierre but he did had it once. Castillo can also field very good, he has the best range in the infield (Castillo and Gonzo).

 

Dont get me wrong, Pierre is very good. he makes things happen but Come on.
