May 15, 200422 yr Dammit, this is pathetic...no runs today...Offense hasn't done much overall of late...and the Phillies have scored 16 runs already in todays game and are gonna tie the marlins...This team needs a solid kick in the ass now...You can't tell me the front office is just gonna sit idle and not do anything. Screw the stadium and payroll issues, if this team continues to play like this, they will see the other side of .500 and the fan base will shut off again...

Yes, that was pathetic, but you can`t just through everything else aside for this. Although I see your point, the stadium is still more important, without it Lowell is a Free Agent AGAIN........
May 15, 200422 yr Author If the Marlins continue to slide into mediocrity like this, having Lowell or a stadium wont matter, no one will show up Yeah, I admit, there is plenty of season left, but the marlins have already given away more games this season then a contender should...They need to come into June with everything clicking and it looks like the opposite right now...
May 15, 200422 yr guys, you cannot do a trade like you want in may. No one is going to sell now for fear of scaring their own fan bases away.
May 15, 200422 yr Author Trades aside, bench the slackers and give some other players a chance (like Nunez) it can't be any worse right now...But major shake-up is needed
May 15, 200422 yr My lineup for Sunday: 1) Pierre - CF 2) Castillo - 2B 3) Lowell - 3B 4) Conine - LF 5) Cabrera - RF 6) Choi - 1B 7) Easley - SS 8) Castro - C 9) Penny - P
May 15, 200422 yr The sad part is we're not not producing against guys like Leiter, Oswalt and Maddux....it's Jason Marquis and Chris friggin' Carpenter we can't hit. That's terrible.

May 16, 200422 yr We need to start scoring runs...I think that we should do something about Choi...he is striking out way too much. We had a big lead but were not tied with the Phils...how did we lose such a big lead on the Phils? We were beating them by over 5 games just a little while ago...and now were tied with them?....SAD. Our pitching is doing a pretty good job as I expected but our offense needs to start stepping up. We need to start taking advantage of all those great opportunities that we have...when we have a runner on 2nd with 0 outs or a even better situation to score than we should score. Its not hard to get to sac's in a row to score a runner in from 2nd with 0 outs. But too many of our outs are strike outs. In fact most of our outs(14/27) were strike outs when we faced Roger Clemens.

I say give Alex a few more games off and start Easley

I say give Alex a few more games off and start Easley lol-you like it because Alex isnt there. I think we should put Easley in-instead of him also.. And Choi isnt hitting so well...so I think we should take him out or atleast put him lower in the order... Atleast we know who are #1 and #2 hitters are... we have the best 1-2 punch in the leauge IMO... GO JP AND LUIS!!! :thumbup
May 16, 200422 yr well here is my lineup.... JP Choi Lowell Niner Cabs Castillo Easley Catcher pitcher
May 16, 200422 yr Well like Edcanes says... We need a back up for when Lowell and Cabs are struggling. (Kendall).
May 16, 200422 yr Well like Edcanes says... We need a back up for when Lowell and Cabs are struggling. (Kendall). yeah....thats true. We cant always rely on them....their not always going to be doing good. But I think that both of them will have great seasons and they wont struggle so much...
May 16, 200422 yr you cannot do a trade like you want in may. Cant we just give Oliver away? :shifty no
May 16, 200422 yr you cannot do a trade like you want in may. Cant we just give Oliver away? :shifty That's the problem with veterans and gauranteed contracts. If they suck, no one wants them. You got to play them and pay 'em or release them and still pay 'em.
