Izzie
I remember the days back in October when I turned on ESPN News and it said Riley was stepping down and I read online Caron was missing the 1st month. Then I had to watch the gruesome 0-7 start where the losses just kept piling up. I didn't even wanna watch anymore but I couldn't just give up on my team like that. And then March 2nd (my bday!!) came. A tough home loss to Toronto on a missed EJ 3 (I believe). Ever since then, it's been magical. It's been so awesome to see all the fans come back, bandwagon or not, and seeing Triple A come alive. We showed our endurance and heart to NO and got past them as we then faced our toughest challenge yet. Everyone doubted the Heat could even pull out 1 win but we stole 2 with heart, almost a 3rd. We weren't just gonna let them cruise by. After the game, I just kinda sat there in shock that it was all over. It didn't end with tears of happiness and a championship like the Marlins did but it felt damn good to be able to actually look forward to the next season and know it's gonna be just as good, if not better. We learned so much in these playoffs that it can only be beneficial. Look at Wade, he really made a national name for himself, and he deserves so much credit. What a star he's becoming and a clutch player as well. Also gotta give credit to Stan "Da Man" Van Gundy and all the other players. We're building our franchise around 3 young stars and we'll be back! 5 more months!!
miami15
Good post! It was a fun year. I remember going to games back in the early part of the year just to see the opponent, but being unable to get tickets this time. Awesome to see the players grow up, and it'll be interesting to see what changes will come. Wade is going to be a monster next year: not quite as good as Bron or Melo, but he'll be an all star-type player.
AniR300
Lol I remember I could buy 10 dollar tickets before and just sit like in row 2 of the back to the basket seats. Also, you could buy tickets 2 minutes before game time. Oh well, for all the new fans, better late than never.
Izzie
Yeah I remember the "bring your lottery tickets for free tix" days. But I'd rather have the Heat play good and pay more than suck and have tix be cheaper.
Beinfest4Prez
Wade is going to be better than Melo, maybe even close to LeBron. Mark it down. Carmelo couldn't lead his team out of the first round, Dwyane Wade had 7 20 point games in the playoffs, second only to David Robinson's nine as a rookie. Rebirth
Wade is going to be better than Melo, maybe even close to LeBron. Mark it down. Carmelo couldn't lead his team out of the first round, Dwyane Wade had 7 20 point games in the playoffs, second only to David Robinson's nine as a rookie. Nuggets had to play a tougher team in the opening round of the playoffs. So I don't blame Melo. But Wade is going to better when time passes by. He's going to be a fan favorite but not enough to beat T-Mac and The Answer for the ASG. :mad :

Rebirth
Why the mad face realflava? Because LBJ and Wade will never start in the All-Star Game as long as McGrady and Iverson are in the East.

Libelula
I'm glad basketball is back in Miami. Hetting Heat tickets will hopefully be tough next season.

minus
1)Melo is overated and his ego is bigger than his head. 2)Wade is going to be a special player.

I know its the Timberwolves but still, the Hornets had size on Wade and he still did it. Theres a thing called in sports and that is an upset. Granted Kevin Garnett is the best player in the game IMHO at the moment, he couldn't lead the Wolves out of the first round till this year. Carmelo could've done it and from what I remember, he was preaty well contained in the playoffs.
Guest Juanky
Hopefully I can get some season tickets next year when I don't have to go to school everyday at 8 in the morning. Time, company, and money permitting :confused

Dude is 19 and put up a fight against a real Championship contender, by himself basically, while Wade has a whole supporting cast (or is he the supporting cast) and his team struggled to beat a lousy New Orleans team. He had an awful game that series too. Wade is going to be a good one but LeBron and Carmelo are going to be superstars.
odom006
okay lets face it..... back to what this whole post was to begin with...... Rebirth
yeah that's true they really need to change the voting system i'm getting sick of the same players over and over again and then the other players getting snubbed Even if they change the voting system. Other people will get made. But the voting system now is good. Fans get to see who they voted for. The only way Wade or James get to start is McGrady and Iverson going to west. Which might happen. Theres a thing called in sports and that is an upset. Chances are slim for a 8th seed team to go on to the 2nd round. But it has happen only twice but it might not happen again since NBA started 7 game series for the 1st round.

I mean yeah I know it's supposed to be a game about the fans but it's just not fun anymore. I mean when someone leads voting and they haven't even played for most of the season - something tell you it's more of a popularity contest than skill appreciation. I can already predict the lineups to you without the season starting, that's not supposed to happen. Oh and if AI and Tmac go to the west - the east will really be f***ed. NO is already leaving (not that they made the east so much better but its better than freakin charlotte bobcats) and what the hell will be left? I mean yeah there will be the Pacers and Pistons and everything but the star talent will be wayyy too outbalanced if you steal 2 of the most popular players away from a weak east already. The All-Star bench are the only players who have to work hard to be on the All-Star team.
