djm305
Now this is what I call consistency, Penny has not allowed more than 3 ER an ANY start this year and he seems to only be getting better. I am extremely impressed with the way he has pitched this year. 2004 Regular Season Game Log DATE TEAM OPP RESULT RECORD SV ERA GS CG SHO IP H R ER HR BB SO HBP WP BK 04/07 FLA MON L 2-3 0-1 0 3.86 1 0 0 7.0 4 3 3 2 1 6 0 0 0 04/13 FLA @MON W 5-0 1-1 0 0.00 1 0 0 8.0 2 0 0 0 1 10 0 0 0 04/18 FLA @ATL L 2-3 1-1 0 3.18 1 0 0 5.2 5 2 2 1 5 6 0 1 0 04/24 FLA ATL W 7-4 2-1 0 3.00 1 0 0 6.0 7 2 2 1 2 6 0 0 0 04/29 FLA @SF W 4-3 2-1 0 3.86 1 0 0 7.0 8 3 3 1 2 2 0 0 0 05/05 FLA LA W 2-0 3-1 0 0.00 1 0 0 7.2 4 0 0 0 1 5 0 0 0 05/11 FLA @HOU L 1-6 3-2 0 2.70 1 0 0 6.2 5 2 2 0 1 5 0 0 0 05/16 FLA @STL W 3-2 4-2 0 1.50 1 0 0 6.0 5 1 1 1 2 6 1 0 0 05/22 FLA ARI W11-2 5-2 0 1.50 1 0 0 6.0 5 1 1 1 2 6 0 1

Prime Time
That would be our first 20 game winner in how many years?

PBMarlin
If he keeps this up he could win 20 games. He'll need some run support along the way to do it.....the one thing that was lacking in both of his losses and no decisions. He has pitched well enough to have 7 or 8 wins already...so we'll just have to see how the season goes. But yeah, he has a good chance to win 20 games. At this point, having 5 wins puts you on the bubble. He's pitched well enough to have, like you said, 7 wins. FYI, he projects to finish with a 19-8 record with 201 K's. I'll take that any day... I didn't think he had K'ed that many to this point, but I guess I'm wrong. I wonder how many innings pitched he's projected for.
FishFanPR
nice post....how many wins are expected for Beckett and Pavano? I'd say 10-15, right?
