June 1, 200422 yr I think Jack deserves a second guessing today. Why have Wayne pitch to Casey and Griffey and not Perisho? That was the game, we were leading by 1 run. Oh well.
June 1, 200422 yr I was really scratching my head in the sixth, when Borland was called to pitch. He's been mainly the "Chad Fox" 8th inning setup guy - why should today have been any different? Both Nate Bump and Justin Wayne were warming before Borland was - why not put one of them in for the sixth and put Borland in the seventh or the eigth? But since it happened the way it happened, I would have put Perisho in the seventh and maybe the eigth if he was economical, although Nate did great there.

June 1, 200422 yr Mismanaging the bullpen is a peridox. The bullpen has not performed all year consistently so I would not call it mismanagement but an unfortunate situation for McKeon. Without Fox, there is no one who can hold leads except Benetiz. The BP is not performing nor has Castro. I would expect changes soon!
