MarlinsvsRays..Anyone Coming Up Here?

Featured Replies

Just curious if anyone is coming to Tampa for the Marlins/Rays series next weekend.

I hope to go to 2 of the 3 games; I'm waiting to see the pitching matchups before deciding what days I go.

I think about doing it every time we play the Rays but I never go there in the end.

And I would feel very bad if I went and they loss...

I mean a long drive to see the Marlins lose? Wouldn't do it.

I believe I am going to make the trip to see a few of the games.

That is, if I am not car shopping.

I'd like to go up, Cape know of any trains or buses going?

PBMarlin: Is this the parking lot fire replacement car?

Call Amtrak and ask if they have a train going from your closest station to Tampa. Plan on traveling the day before the game.

Amtrak is running a special on this website http://tickets.amtrak.com/Amtrak/railsale

Tampa Union Station

601 Nebraska Ave.

Tampa, FL 33602

Train #90 from Miami to Tampa (06/21/04 to 06/30/04) is $14.00

Train #89 from Tampa to Miami (06/20/04 to 06/30/04) is $14.00

From Tampa station take the ThruWay service to St. Petersburg or use a taxi.

The bus will leave you in Pinellas Park, a little too far north, I recommend you use the cab, esp. if you are with alot of people.

BTW, here is the Trop's address and Rays number

Tropicana Field

One Tropicana Drive

St. Petersburg, FL 33705

888-326-7297

Call them if you need help, they are very helpful.

BTW, if you plan to make this a vacation, Busch Gardens is in Temple Terrace, northeast of Downtown Tampa. The Trop is in Downtown St. Pete.
