June 20, 200422 yr the BoSox doent usually have that many African American players that hang with the team for more than 2-3 years wonder why that is Pedro's been there for 6+, Manny figures to be there for a long time. Of course a lot of that has to do with the benjamins... Seriously though, even though you play for a certain city, that's no guarantee that you have to spend a lot of time there. There are 81 home dates a season, outside of that there are road games, and then you can live wherever you want. And if Bonds came to Boston, if he hit .375 for the Sox, the people there would kiss his ass. Anybody that brings them closer to a championship is welcome.
