How about the Mets. They are 8-2 against the Yankees and they are looking like the real deal. I think they will be in contention all year long

Mets are still under .500

Look what the Mets have done since they fired their hitting coach.....

Players to watch

Mike Lowell foiled Dewon Brazelton's no-hit bid with a ground-rule double with two outs in the eighth Friday. Lowell has hit safely in six of his last seven, going 9-for-29 (.310). ... Mike Redmond, who was 0-for-2 with a walk Friday, is 3-for-20 over his last seven games, dropping his average from .293 to .273.

Quotable

"Any loss is tough to swallow. The other guy gave up less hits than me, that's the bottom line. Our guys don't go up there trying to make outs. It's going to turn around, and I'm going to get a couple [of runs] next time." -- A.J. Burnett on the frustrations of Friday's loss

I hope we win this game for the sake of sanity on this board.

If the Fish loss tonight this entire board is going on a riot... :plain :thumbup
