July 6, 200421 yr I wish Jack would ban players who are on the DL from being on the bench or around the team. they should be healing, not rushing to get back. Bobby Cox does this occasionally as do some other managers.

July 6, 200421 yr Trade him north. As much as I would like to kill Boston, trade him to the Red Sox or Yankees. I bet they'd give you a lot for him. You need a shortstop. Nomar's a free agent after this year, though. But that just means you could get more. For Beckett I bet you could get Nomar and Bronson Arroyo/Anastacio Martinez and maybe even Youkilis. However, I don't think there's much of a point in doing the deal unless you got Youkilis. Martinez+Youkilis+Nomar for half year might make sense. I don't know. I bet Beckett'd be better off in the north where the humidity isn't so terrible. Either that or make him a reliever for June and July or something.
