July 6, 200422 yr The season will come down to July 26th-August 8th because that's when the schedule turns in our favor. The Phillies go on a season long four town 13 game roadtrip with four here in the hostile territory of PPS, then three at Wrigley for the Cubbies, then three in San Diego and three in Los Angeles....Projected record: 4-9 The Marlins play those pesky Phillies, then three vs. Montreal, then travel for three in Arizona before coming home to play those Brew Crew for three.....Projected record: 10-3 I think that we just have to stay within 4 and we'll be golden. PS: After the Brew Crew we have the Cardinals for three at home.
July 6, 200422 yr I think I have heard a similar argument before The time to turn the season around is today. . .
July 6, 200422 yr I remember someone a while back saying the same thing when looking at the D-Rays and Tigers on the schedule. That worked out pretty well. Meh.
July 6, 200422 yr I looked at June and thought that we had a legit shot at sweeping the two weeks we just finished limping through. (This was when the season started). Don't take anything for granted; turning point comes today. We can't keep looking ahead.
July 6, 200422 yr It has already started, Willingham is the beginning a winning streak is coming I can feel it
July 6, 200422 yr i kno when the season will turn. and thats when somethin is done. either fire the hitting coach or make some trades. cause this team is falling and looking bad doing so. some of the worst and most frustrating to watch baseball ive seen since forever. ill stick to my idea that the offense is the key problem. the bullpen and starters are ok IMO, but the offense is LACKING. seriously lacking. and if somethins not done soon it'll be a race between the mets and phillies w/ the marlins rotting in 3rd or 4th
July 6, 200422 yr I think the season needs to start turing around today I am tired of looking ahead and making excuses for our loses, I want the Fish to start winning TODAY!!!
July 6, 200422 yr I looked at June and thought we would go 20-7. HAHAHAHA! The only way this team starts to win is with starting pitching. Right now, we are down to Pavano, Burnett and Willis. Roll the dice for the next starters as both Beckett and Penny are down. I think those 3 can be good enough to keep us within the race - all we have to do is get a little more from whoever fills out the rotation. And our offense needs to step it up more than ever. Call me crazy, but I would like to see Bump start and maybe even Aaron Small...
July 7, 200422 yr The season will come down to July 26th-August 8th because that's when the schedule turns in our favor. PS: After the Brew Crew we have the Cardinals for three at home. 443705[/snapback] We need to get in the lead first....we need to extend the lead in that stretch to give us some buffer for that difficult end-of-the-season road trip.
July 7, 200422 yr The offense needs to stay overnight at a Holiday Inn Express. Couldn't hurt, something needs to get them going.
July 7, 200422 yr Weve reached the point of no return its either go out there an win this division or belly flop in front of the world and i cant see this team doing that so i say lets do it
