lol well i was basing it off movies, whenever you see a UFO in a movie or show..they add some x-files type music in the back.

here goes my credibility...

 

(NOTE: the above can be hallucinations, tiredness, are anything, but they or what they saw. Whether they are real or not is beyond me, but I did see them)

 

I have seen UFOs. One was this crazy star that would never change its position every night outside of my old house. Stars naturally change their position in the sky in a very slow matter...this one didn't. It would consistantly stay between a the branches of a bare dead tree. Every night, all night, and our whole family saw it every night. IT just looked like a star and it somehow gained the nickname "hoonstar" for whatever reason. I'm no astronomer and it was probably a star, but stars should not stay in the same position...

 

I have seen numerous times in white plains new york metallic balls that would fly around and go behind a branch or something (in the distance) and not be seen again. This I have seen 4 times and I guess these are hallucinations, but I have seen them a bunch of times.

 

I have seen a comical looking UFO that looks like it is from a 50s movie. IT flopped around in the sky and I yelled at my sister to look at it and she looked exactly a second too late.

 

On an airplane I saw a black thing way in the distance flying really fast and making radical turns. My brother saw it too so it was either a government aircraft or a UFO.

 

And that's all I saw. My Dad used to go camping on Hawk Mountain with his friends and for some reason they have a crap load of security in the middle of no where. Nonetheless, they all saw a UFO once. I never believed my Dad's story and one day we went to Hawk Mountain just to hike up and I said, "Show me where you saw that UFO." He said, "OVer there near the cliff" or something like that, and on the bare rock there was grafitti of alien heads and such, indicating other people have seen the same thing there.

People used to think the world was flat or that Galileo was an idiot for thinking the Earth revolved around the sun even after he had proof that it did he was jailed, and was spit on by his own 'friends'.

 

But anyways there are probably UFOs, hard to think there isn't, but I doubt that there have been very many to actually visit the planet.

In the town of Colebrook, New Hampshire, where my father was raised, UFO sightings are fairly common. My great uncle has seen his share of luminous objects hovering over Mount Manodnock. Let me tell you, New England is a great place to see UFO's. Ever heard the story of Betty and Barney Hall? That happened in Southern New Hampshire. Maine is also a kick ass UFO state. A lot of fisherman claim to have been abducted deep in the woods of the state.

 

Damn this stuff rocks.

People always wonder why UFOs are seen in mostly rural areas. What it comes down to, unless you are fishing or driving in the middle of no where with no distractions, do you even pay attention to the sky? Anything that moves does not surprise us, especially with airplanes all about and all. And if you look at the recent sigthings in MExico and the UFO onslaught there in 1989 and even the mass sightings in phoenix, the question isn't IF they are there it is WHAT they are in my honest opinion.

Exactly. There's definitely some phenomena up there, no denying that.

Not to mention, there's a better chance of seeing something in a rural area in the sky, because there is less polution....you can actually see stuff flying.

Furman, in Alaska, didn't the air literally feel different because it was so clean. NY has way too much pollution.

it did. Granted, I'm not around a WHOLE lot of polution, where I'm at. I love going to our property in East Tennessee in the foothills of the Smokies. It's so refreshing. And there are so many more stars to see.

 

Alaska is an awesome place. I wouldn't wanna live there, but visiting is awesome.

Im got away from it all yesterday in Addrondecks (sp) and hiked and boated...that was sweet until my friend tipped the boat trying to fart...

tipping boats is not fun. Was goin frog giggin out in Lake Washington (it's a feeder lake to the St. Johns River). Lake Washington is INFESTED with gators, water moccassins, etc. So we have this brilliant idea to fit 2 into this canoe at night and try going frog gigging. Almost tipped that thing right from the start....that and we were sitting so low.

 

Anyway, we didn't tip it, for if we did, I'd probably be suffering from poison from snakes. When I say infested...i mean infested. We caught a brim though. By catch, I mean one jumped into the canoe.

 

Oh yeah, I've tipped in a sailboat before. Not fun.

Lake Pleasant, New Hampshire...

 

Me and my cousin used to sail all the time on that beast. One time the sail swung around and knocked me clean off the boat. That rocked.

 

And we've turned that sucker straight upside down so many times. It's fun as s*** though.

how do you get a sailboat back over?

It was a sunfish. They're like the size of a jonboat.
