Yes, by me anyway. I've always handled things that way. Spam just uses up resources.

OK fair enough... but my question was mostly about the fighting.

It's a case by case thing. Usually we wait til something happens before stepping in but in this case, I thought it was a guarantee there'd be one. Judgement call.
