July 20, 200421 yr as long as he's back for the playoffs.. i really want them in the finals vs. the lakers.. somehow!
July 20, 200421 yr but the lakers arent reaching the finals. the lakers will be lucky to get out of round 1.
July 20, 200421 yr i will laugh long and hard if shaq gets hurt next year. Wow. :confused 466671 i found it particularly fitting when the big evil karl malone got hurt last year...just crappy timing. and the fact that most of you homers have already reserved your seats to the nba finals in miami will just make it kinda ironic. the heat are a team with shaq and wade and not much else. seems kinda similar to the laker team that just lost. depth can go a long way.

July 20, 200421 yr shaq will help them out ... he may be extra motivated .. but he has put a lot of miles on a big body .. he isn't going to be able to get himself in his best shape ever .. that came when he was younger and just as motivated and if he pushes himself to hard he's going to hurt something judging how a toe injury and a stomach injury have both put him out for long periods of time, i'd be concerned about such things as for the heat ... they are thing .. i like coach stan ... i loved watching last years team .. honestly they were my favorite team to watch .. they are going to lose that this year .. their pace is going to slow, they will have to grind more defensively and they are going to have to establish and feed the post on a majority of posessions as for teams to beat it's easily the spurs ... many may sleep on the brent barry signing, but it is absolutely huge .. he's the perfect player for the spurs ... a versatile guard who can flat out shoot .. he can spot up, drive, shoot of screens, is very savvy ... a professional role player .. this signing puts them over the top out east there are 3 teams I think are worth mentioning ... they are the pistons, pacers and heat .. in that order .. the heat are very shallow, have concerns at the point (they need someone who can feed shaq while allowing wade to move without the ball, come off screens, etc so he can catch a pass from the big man) it's going to be a trasition for the heat players and they will probably start slow
July 20, 200421 yr russell sucks. malone doesnt know if he wants to play. if he does he will play for one of 3 teams. lakers heat spurs i just have no clue what the order will be. all 3 have positive qualities and all 3 have drawbacks.

July 20, 200421 yr Just back on the topic, I'm a huge Heat fan but I still think the Pistons and the Spurs are the teams to beat in their conferences and should be expected to win. They both have won with the team they have and only added pieces, I am expecting Miami to surprise some people though.
July 20, 200421 yr miami is top 3 in the east easily. but i dont think they can beat detroit...and i'm not sure about indiana.
July 20, 200421 yr come now Das, we almost beat the pacers last year. The heat don't just have Wade'nShaq, they also have E.Jones, who was the top scorer last season. Look, those are 3 quality players. Doleac, who is unproven, could take the role of PF and almost be the muscle that Grant was, according to SVG.
July 20, 200421 yr doleac reminds me of brad lohaus. the pacers havent exactly stood still this offseason. they did add a clutch shooter in place fo al harrington.
July 20, 200421 yr doleac. lol. he's not the answer to anything, ever. 466741 Like Divac is?
July 20, 200421 yr divac would PWN doleac every day of the year. believe me i'm not high on vlade divac.. but he is a legit center, even if he plays 20 mins a game.
July 20, 200421 yr doleac reminds me of brad lohaus. the pacers havent exactly stood still this offseason. they did add a clutch shooter in place fo al harrington. 466732 Heat have options. Byron Russell-Add depth to bench Robert Horry-same as above Karl Malone signing with the Heat could really help the depth problems.Haslem and Allen would remain on the bench along Doleac which would make the Heat power rotation a strong point.Hopefully the Heat bring back R.Butler because I really think he can flourish as a starter along Shaq.
July 20, 200421 yr horry & russell are both done, career wise. they're not even good bench players nowadays. malone would be good for the heat, this is true. doleac is nothing. he's been in the nba for years. i don't know why you keep bringing doleac up for. he won't contribute to the team or do anything significant except get dunked on.
July 20, 200421 yr uncle vlade is only going to get worse. but yes he is better than doleac. 466752 Really? 28.6 minutes per game Avg. 9.9 Points per game Avg. 5.4 rebounds per game Doleac can top those stats with the same amount of playing time as Vlade was getting last year. Doleac can be a 10/10 player with that amount of playing time.

July 20, 200421 yr if you get malone...you and the pistons are favorites in teh east. horry cant do his thing in the playoffs anymore. russell was decent with the jazz in the late 90s...he is garbage now. doleac is an ok roleplayer....who is overpaid.
July 20, 200421 yr doleac won't get 28 mins a game, that's the problem. and if he did get 28 mins a game, nobody would pass him the ball. and he wouldn't get a double double every night in 28 mins if he did play, no matter what team he would be with.
