July 21, 200422 yr monday-even though dontrelle gave up 5 runs, i was happy with his start. he stayed under control even after that jack by spencer and went 7 innings only giving up 5 hits. the turning point in the game was when JP nailed cameron at 2nd, setting up the rally by the fish. i have a feeling this game may be just like our 9-8 game in boston, a game that really gets the guys going tuesday-the perfect night to score early, considering who our starter was. im really encouraged by alex gonzalez now. he had a web gem night monday and then comes back tuesday with a hr in the 1st. of course nate bump gave up 6 in 2 2/3, but our bullpen saved the day. howard, manzy, koch, and mando combines for 6 1/3 innings of 1 run ball mvp-juan pierre. could easily go to a-gon or miguel, but JP was the table setter tuesday going 4-for-5 lvp-nate bump. he belongs w/ the topes, no doubt about it next victim: philly, wed-thu
