Dolphins to offer massive charity package...

Featured Replies

The dolphins are going to offer a huge package to Ricky where they'll give him his regular 3 something million dollar salary and on top of that the Dolphins will donate many many millions to Ricky's favorite charities in his name since he keeps emphasizing that he doesn't care about money for himself. I don't have a link but I just heard it on ESPNews.

thats a great idea.

vilify the bastard if he rejects free money to charity.

:lol :lol :lol :lol

thats the 1st time ive been able to laugh about any of this

i still dont understand how anyone could do this. it came out of NOWHERE! i STILL cant believe this s***. theres no f***ing motive! why!!! i hope this is some kind of joke to get publicity. because this is seriously straight out of fantasy.

i normally dont pay attention the idiots on channel 7 but shapiro did bring something up that crossed my mind lastnight. maybe he was giving hints that we just overlooked like when he shaved his dreads which he had for years. they then showed an interview from march (MARCH!) where he said that he's realized that football isnt that important.

Two interesting things that have been pointed out:

1. Ricky Williams never really liked or disliked Wandstedt, but this may be his own bizarre angling to get Wanny replaced with someone who can get through to Williams, or rely less on him and use Chambers and Boston more. Huizenga, Speilman, even the older guys like Seau knew that this was it, our year...if it was ever going to come, so the urgency is so great that whatever needs to be done to get Ricky back will be done.

2. This one's more in theme with the thread...he just wants more money. Even if he doesn't care about it (and I'd say he probably doesn't) he will get more money thrown at him now than just about any athlete in South Florida sports history.

Without Ricky, we really don't have a season, I'm a big Dolphin fan, but I really can't see us winning more than 6 games...QB's excluded, there is no player more important to a team than Ricky was for us. Knowing that, I hope we throw the bank at him.

if ricky wanted dave fired he couldve made it happen without resorting to this. also if he wanted him fired and still have a successful season he wouldve made it happen during the GM uproar early in the offseason.

this is all about ricky. this decision was all because hes one weird guy

mark my words, hell be back, just not this year

If Dan The Man was in the front office like he should be, none of this would have ever happened :D .

Done :thumbup

this decision is so different from all the other RBs that left early because it came right before training camp, and bc ricky really doesnt have that many nfl accomplishments. he has a really unfulfilled career and once he does all this travelling bulls*** hell realize that

i heard this rumer on the radio today, but Lebatard says that there is no package the dolphins can put toghther to get ricky to come back...he says there is noway he is playing this year and the dolphins and the fans should just move on....
