With LaTroy Hawkins struggling and Joe Borowski injured, the Cubs are toying with using former Reds starter Ryan Dempster as a closer. Quickly recovering from Tommy John surgery, Dempster has flashed his 95-mph fastball at Class AAA Iowa. ?It's worth an experiment,? Cubs GM Jim Hendry said. ?I wouldn't say on Sept. 1 he couldn't be the closer.?

Yeah, I don't think anyone could doubt those trades.

Dempster already back at 95 MPH? I wish him the best.

 

But i think we need a better reliever. We need another stopper like a Urbina or Fox.

Always a big fan of Dempster, hope he does well
