Line Up

Featured Replies

Sure is funny that the line up that everyone was so critical of (Conine 5th - Choi 6th) won 4 games in a row. We were just lucky to score that many runs. Fairy guaranteed

It all starts with the top of the lineup, when they got hot together so did the rest of the team. So many times past few games both JP and Luis have scored on the same hit. I seriously don't think that has happened very many times this year before this week

If Luis and JP can get on base, its big trouble for the opposing team. Even a lil bloop in to right feild can mean a run or two. They are instrumental. And duh, we all know it. When we've been slumping, they didn't get on base.

Odd...No one ever blames them when we loose....

JP just needs to stay on base. EVERYTIME he gets on i think he's gonna end up getting CS.

it's interesting, but tommy hutton pointed out during a rain delay the other night that since the all-star break, JP and luis had been getting on base plenty but we were still losing.

well, latley JP has been on fire, stealin, hitting and defense. So, hopefully he stays hot for the rest of the season/post season/WS....

Ferry, jackass. F-E-R-R-Y.

If the top two are getting on base and running the lineup works. Otherwise it gets the best out of only two players (Lowell, Cabrera). I'd wait until the lineup produces against a team not named the Phillies.

no faith in JP? :plain

The Bottom line... Pierre and Castillo are the key to our run production, if they both get on base then Lowell and Cabrera are productive. When our 1-4 hitters are productive we will almost always WIN. Take a look at the stats for our 1 - 4 hitters they are our Offense. Al of them above .300 AVG, all of them with at LEAST 60 runs scored each.

On a side note, Agon has put together 15 HR and 53 RBI damn good I'll say considering how he started the season off!

The problem is that when the top four aren't producing, even when 2 of the 4 aren't we struggle to score runs. We need a lineup that gets some production out of the bottom of the order as well.
