July 31, 200421 yr Has anyone else seen this film yet? Saw it last night and I must say it was different from what I was expecting, I had read in reviews that I would be dissappointed by the ending but I wasnt. I actually liked it becasue it was a different type of ending that most movies dont have. A couple of scares here and there but its a good story and good film. I recommend it if you like other movies by M. Night Shyamalan.
July 31, 200421 yr He's probably my favorite director, but I thought it sucked serious ass. By far the worst of his last 4 movies. The ending was more unrealistic than aliens landing in my backyard to give me an anal probe. :lol

Its something thats out there but I like that in movies. Defintely not for everyone.
July 31, 200421 yr Hmm, I heard from two people it sucked. I don't know, I'll probably just be better off watching Harold and Kumar. I do wanna see "The Grudge" though, that movie looks different and interesting.

I'll probably catch it when its out on video. Since I also wanna see the Manuchurian Candiate.
July 31, 200421 yr This was the movie I least wanted to see this weekend, but I saw it and liked it. I don't know what was SO preposterous about the ending, that got the reviewers all in a tizzy. It was pretty loud in the theater, and I couldn't hear a quarter of the dialogue, cause they were always whispering in the movie. Maybe that actually increased my enjoyment of the movie, who knows.

I still liked it.
July 31, 200421 yr I value the opinions of my friends and people our age way more than critics. They're just a bunch of old people anyway.
July 31, 200421 yr This was the movie I least wanted to see this weekend, but I saw it and liked it.? I don't know what was SO preposterous about the ending, that got the reviewers all in a tizzy.? It was pretty loud in the theater, and I couldn't hear a quarter of the dialogue, cause they were always whispering in the movie.? Maybe that actually increased my enjoyment of the movie, who knows. 486529 Most critics didnt like it because you find out the big twist way before the ending and they said it ruined the movie. I still liked it. 486545 Like I said, it was so loud, that I couldn't figure anything out. Later, some of the people I went with said they figured it out, and told me what tipped them off, and I was like, oh, I didn't hear that part. But I'm pretty sure that even if I had, I wouldn't have guessed it.
July 31, 200421 yr i saw it last night too and thought it was pretty good. i thought The Sixth Sense was OK, hated Unbreakable and didnt even see Signs. this one was very well made i must say and i didnt see that twist coming at all. a highly enjoyable movie from start to finish.

I can accept mutants in X-Men and suspend disbelief, because that is expected. If I'm watching a movie Gladiator and mutants suddenly appeared, I'd laugh and roll my eyes. I don't want to give away any parts of the movie, so I'll try to explain my point in a generic way. I can accept the intended ending. But when I look at all the different issues involved in how the twist was exposed in The Village, it was a joke to me. If anyone wants to start a new spoiler thread regarding the movie, I can explain my point better. I don't want to spoil the movie for those that haven't seen it and don't expect spoilers in this thread.
July 31, 200421 yr hahaha i told u dagreatone it would suck. i dont watch movies based on hype. just admit it was garbage hahaha
July 31, 200421 yr I saw it last night... I honestly thought it was suppose to be some kind of thriller... it was more of a tall tale kinda thing where they make up stuff... and I didn't even know that until my friend explained to me after the movie was over. They made such a big deal in the movie of the creatures, which were cool until the end

I guess they had a lot of problems with people making noise during the movie. hahaha i told u dagreatone it would suck. i dont watch movies based on hype. just admit it was garbage hahaha 486932 Your lame. And no I dont watch movies based on hype if I did I would have watched crap like the Hulk and others. I enjoyed it and everyone has different tastes.
