August 15, 200421 yr I guess this goes with the old Cash song and a little deep of a question. But, if you were offered Fame and of course a little money with it, Extreme Wealth, or Peace of Mind for the rest of your life, what do you take? I've never had Wealth or Fame obviously but as far as I'm concerned nothing beats Peace of Mind when everything is right in your world just the hardpart of keeping that peace. I'd like to say I'd take Peace of Mind but the offer is tough.
August 15, 200421 yr I won't lie to myself, I'd probably take extreme wealth and take my chances on gaining peace of mind and fame.
August 15, 200421 yr "You can't be in it for the money you gotta satisfy your soul!" -Montgomery Gentry Yeah, I'd take piece of mind in a heartbeat
August 15, 200421 yr Author Here's The Cash lyrics which really makes me want peace of mind I would think that extreame wealth would look real great so it obviously would never be an easy choice and I think that neither of the three can be achieved together. "How many times have You heard someone say If I had his money I could do things my way But little they know That it's so hard to find One rich man in ten With a satisfied mind Once I was waitin' In fortune and fame Everything that I dreamed for To get a start in life's game Then suddenly it happened I lost every dime But I'm richer by far With a satisfied mind Money can't buy back Your youth when you're old Or a friend when you're lonely Or a love that's grown cold The wealthiest person Is a pauper at times Compared to the man With a satisfied mind When my life has ended And my time has run out My friends and my loved ones I'll leave there's no doubt But one thing's for certain When it comes my time I'll leave this old world With a satisfied mind How many times have You heard someone say If I had his money I could do things my way But little they know That it's so hard to find One rich man in ten With a satisfied mind
August 15, 200421 yr I don't understand why a wealthy person can't have a "satisfied mind" but a poor person can.
August 15, 200421 yr Author I don't understand why a wealthy person can't have a "satisfied mind" but a poor person can. 512439 I wouldn't say Poor but more of a person who at their point in their life accepts where they are and can be content with it. With the rich mostly you'd look to gain or keep your wealth which you try to put your life in your hands and leads to the worrying and fear in the mind. As an old person who lives in a small house but no longer has to worry about gaining in his life and just puts his future out of his hand and no longer has to fear or worry. Almost no human can truly be content with that though which is why peace of mind is almost impossible to achieve for the rest of your life because doubting and worries will somehow reappear.
August 15, 200421 yr I honestly don't know. Peace of Mind is a great thing to have, as is extreme wealth because you can make all of the people you care about happy as well as yourself. I don't care about fame. I choose extreme wealth because I can make others happy besides myself.
August 15, 200421 yr peace of mind would make things boring....like the Pat Green song talks about...bad times keep life from being boring... sometimes uncertainty and bad things make the good times that much better... I'd take fame, and try to turn it into wealth. Peace of mind is a good thing, but like I said...full time peace of mind could keep things boring.
August 15, 200421 yr I'd go with Peace of Mind. I'm a simple person and really dont need a lot of things and money to be happy.
August 15, 200421 yr I understand about indecision, But I don't care if I get behind. People living in competition; All I want is to have my peace of mind.
August 15, 200421 yr Author I don't understand why a wealthy person can't have a "satisfied mind" but a poor person can. 512439 Bust your butt for a lifetime and get ahead a little bit and the whole world is looking to take it from you because now you're one of those evil "rich". 512529 Where that came from, I have no clue.
August 16, 200421 yr Extreme Wealth definately. Although peace of mind is nice to have. But, the world revolves around money.
August 16, 200421 yr I want to have lots of money, but the important thing in life is to be happy, so I'd go with peace of mind. At the same time, money can buy you a more comfortable/peaceful live, so...tough call.
August 16, 200421 yr money might not buy you peace of mind...but there are other ways of achieving it....i dont want total piece of mind until im dead...it would make life feel less spontaneous
