Don't Mess with the Line-Up

Conine is breaking out. Get him RISP opportunities.

Cab's is breaking out. Hitting the ball with consistency and hard.

Lowell will break out soon (my personal guarentee.)

JP is doing his Babe Ruth thing.

Lo Duca is right hitting second. Makes things happen!

Let Luis spark things from down below.

Encarnacion is going to keep hitting doubles.

Use Aguila to break all three outfielders and Red to rest Lo Duca.

We're still a long-shot, but the shot is still there!

I think the playoffs are out of reach for us at this point, barring a MAJOR winning streak, and by that I mean, winning like 1o in a row. Winning 2 of 3 the rest of the way will not cut it. Not when the Cubs and Giants are going to be playing good ball also and will probably win 2 of 3 themselves.

djm305, Your "doom and gloom" is understandable but some of us won't quit until we are mathematically out of it.

Also, how we finish the season could make a difference in our '05 Roster.

We need to finish strong.

Many of us will be there rooting 'til the end.

LOL....what doom and gloom? I watch every game in hope they this will be the start of a winning streak that gets us in. But I also am AWARE of the reality that reaching the playoffs will most likely not happen. This doesn't mean that I think the season is over and I will most certainly be rooting for them till the END, no matter if they are mathematically out of it or not, so don't suggest that I am calling it quits... that is offensive, and where the hell have you been all season? where were you all last season?, where were you in 1993 on opening day?.... I can tell you I was there rooting for my Marlins since day 1. Jeeez I am so sick and tired of some of you thinking your the only REAL fans because you refuse to see the reality of the situation.

djm305, Sorry I offended you. Didn't mean to.

And yes I was there opening day and still take pride in my Teal hat.

Guess when things aren't going too good I have too much incentive to ring a positive note. Again, I apologize for how my statement struck you.

It's ok, I mean I guess I was just being defensive because of how much I really love this team. When that goes into question it gets to me I guess. PArt of the reason I need to keep a grasp on the reality of our situation is because I don't want to be heart broken if I get my hopes up to high at this point and if we do get in it makes it that much sweeter for me. Anyhow I will hang on to the hope that we make it this year until we are mathimatically out of it. Anyhow, next season will be a lot of fun for me because I already have planned 5 roadtrips to catch the Marlins on the road at CHI, STL, MIL, DET, CIN =)

We have a winning record with the sunday special, so it won't bother me if we see an Easley-Mordi DP combination with Redmond catching today. Even if the starters won't really need a day of rest with an off-day tomorrow.

What will is when Tuesday comes around and Jack goes back to the same old tired lineup with JP and Luiy at the top and our two best OBP guys batting 4th and 5th.

Stick with this lineup.

Winning 2 of 3 the rest of way may be able to help us. We have 6 games against the games left, so winning 4 of 6 would have us gain 2 games on them. Winning 2 of 3 against San Francisco would allow us to move up a game on them in the standings. We need to sweep Colorado later in the week and win 3 of for from the Mets next week. We could be okay if that happens. It's so circumstantial, though.

Yeah, I like the lineup the way it is too, but we will probably get the goofy Sunday lineup today

forget sunday lineups we need to win every game.

Agreed. Especially since all the starters will get their day off tomorrow.
