Iowa Posted September 8, 2004 Share Posted September 8, 2004 Same with Iowa, Mays24Bonds. Hayden Fry, who himself is a college football legend, left the cupboard completely bare when he left Iowa. Kirk's first year he was 1-11, than 3-9 than 7-5 (bowl win) than 11-2 (Top 10, Big Ten Champs) and 10-3 (Top 10) last year... quite an amazing turnaround as well. His name is always thrown in there for NFL jobs and the Penn State, Nebraska, Notre Dame jobs but he's not going anywhere. IMO, Kirk Ferentz is one of the Top 5 coaches in college football.
