September 11, 200422 yr Zogby's Sept. 8-9 survey gives the following results: Nader 2.4%, Badnarik 0.9%, Peroutka 0.3%, Other 0.6% Badnarik seems to be doing much better than Browne in 00 which I figure might have to do with fiscal republicans upset with Bush's foreign policy.
September 12, 200422 yr Author Libertarians have been slowly gaining for quite some time now. Not at critical mass yet, but steady gains. Close to 1% isn't bad given that libertarians are virtually ignored by mass media currently. 553803 If it does turn out at 1% on election day, that would be huge considering it's about a 200% gain from Browne in 2000. The LP can grow as you said. I think it'll grow faster than most expect if this neo con movement continues to grow as it's going to leaves a lot of the old fiscal conservatives out side.
September 12, 200422 yr libertarians will grow because the logic behind their arguments is impeccable...at least comapred to the flip flopping of every other wing. libertarian philosophy is probably the easiest to sum up. hopefully people wake up and stop voting for the 2 big parties.

IMO the best part about the LP is the idea of dollar for dollar tax credits on charitable contributions (you can read about it on their website), this is what freedom is all about, and in charitable contributions the poor are also getting help. And the healthcare plans are also somehting that would have many converts among democrats as well as reps.
September 13, 200422 yr I'm starting to think Kerry is a lost cause and since Nader is off the ballot I'm considering Badnarik.
September 13, 200422 yr Perot had a big % at one point in his campaign.... so it's definitely out there for the taking.
September 15, 200422 yr Perot had a big % at one point in his campaign.... so it's definitely out there for the taking. 556729 Last time I checked, that was over 10 years ago.

I'm just saying that it's possible for a 3rd party to get support. 10 years ago is nothing.
