any of you guys watch the premiere tonight on ABC?

 

I thought it was pretty good

Damnit, I wanted to see that.

I watched it... now I'm curious.

I wanted to see it as well but fell asleep.

I went out. Hopefully they rerun it later on or something.. :confused

Yeah, it was pretty good.

 

I give this show about a year and a half before it becomes really freaking stupid. But up until that point it's going to be great, and I'll be there watching it.

 

The one they showed this week was technically part 1 of a 2-part pilot. I know of people who downloaded both parts last week. You can almost certainly get it on bittorrent somewhere. But I'm pretty sure I read that they're going to show the full 2 hour pilot some time in a week of so, maybe next Saturday.

Because I'm too good to you people, I just looked it up.

My guess is they never show it. I read a little bit with Abrams, who, if you don't know, is the producer, and he said that they'd introduce the "thing" in the first episode, and that it would play a role in the series, but they might go several episodes in a row where it plays no part. He said it's more of a metaphorical representation of fear, or something like that. If they showed it, they'd probably have to deal with it every episode. It wouldn't be quite so metaphorical any more.

 

Actually, there will probably be a sweeps stunt in February of Season 2, when they do show it. And that will be the very point when this show begins rolling down Shark Jump Mountain very fast.

 

We'll see.

 

To me, though, it sounded suspiciously like a dinosaur. Which would be pretty dumb. I hope they never show it. Anything they come up with is going to end up being stupid. I'm fine that it exists, I just don't want to see it.

otherwise it wasn't bad.... I'll give it another shot.

Thought it as good show, different from anything else out there.
