Posted September 24, 200420 yr When you park your car do you.. Back in? or Just drive in the parking spot? I heard mostly men back their cars into parking spots
September 24, 200420 yr normally i drive in. when i pick up my sister from school, i back in so i can leave easier and not have to worry about running over any of the horny hormonal middle school kids when backing up.
September 24, 200420 yr Women can't drive so that's why they drive in. For me, it depends on the situation. At school, the mall, or anywhere where it gets pretty crowded I back in. If it's just a quick stop or somewhere without a lot of cars, I'll just pull in.
September 24, 200420 yr i park far enough away usually that i can just drive into the spot and still facing forward. walk a bit further, but easier to get the hell out.

September 25, 200420 yr I do both But I back in more. I'm better at it for some strange reason and it's easy as hell.
September 25, 200420 yr Back in. It is a force of habit. If you can easily parallel park (yes, I know some of you have no clue what that is since it was dropped from Florida driving tests some years ago,) backing in to a spot is a cake walk. BTW there is an obscure reference in the Florida statutes that makes backing out of a parking spot unlawful.
September 25, 200420 yr Front in. Too much of a hassle to back in for me. Not that I haven't been punished as I've backed into another car once with each car I've had. I put about a quarter sized scratch into my friend's brand new lexus and she had to get the whole bumper repainted with limited edition paint and it cost 400 dollars. :confused

I should inform you that you may get your liscense at the age of 16 and 3 months. Unless you screw up and wait.

So basically they don't allow you to park technically :lol

The reason: the majority of cars were rear wheel drive, so it was easier to tow them off the lots if the truck could easily raise your drive wheels off the ground. In lots with that posted, always cut your wheels hard one way or the other after you park, they can't just pull you out of the spot that way (yes, I spent a summer driving a tow truck. :mischief )
