September 28, 200422 yr Some of the things i've discovered in the us plan so far. Crimson in the document is canada and blue the united states. In 1934, War Plan Red was amended to authorize the immediate first use of poison gas against Canadians and to use strategic bombing to destroy Halifax if it could not be captured. In February 1935, the War Department arranged a Congressional appropriation of $57 million dollars to build three border air bases for the purposes of pre-emptive surprise attacks on Canadian air fields. The base in the Great Lakes region was to be camouflaged as a civilian airport and was to "be capable of dominating the industrial heart of Canada, the Ontario Peninsula" In case of war with the United States, Canadas coal imports from this country would be cut off and her railroads and industrial activities seriously handicapped. If Blue controlled the Quebec area and Winnipeg, Canada's railroads and industries dependent upon "steam power" would be crippled. Crimson cannot successfully defend her territory against the United States (Blue). She will probably concentrate on the defense of Halifax and the Montreal-Quebec line in order to hold bases of operation for Red. Important secondary efforts will be made to defend her industrial area and critical points on her transcontinental railroad lines. So Canada would have no chance PERIOD.
September 28, 200422 yr Why wage war on other nations, except for imperalistic gain. Every imperalistic nation has ultimately failed. For that matter just about every civilization since the dawn of mankind has eventually crumbled. One could argue that the United States is teetering on the edge of beginning that downward spiral into ruin.
September 28, 200422 yr O Canada! Our home and native land! True patriot love in all thy sons command. With glowing hearts we see thee rise, The True North strong and free! From far and wide, O Canada, We stand on guard for thee. God keep our land glorious and free! O Canada, we stand on guard for thee. O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

September 28, 200422 yr Why wage war on other nations, except for imperalistic gain.? Every imperalistic nation has ultimately failed.? For that matter just about every civilization since the dawn of mankind has eventually crumbled.? One could argue that the United States is teetering on the edge of beginning that downward spiral into ruin. 575202 So the Roman Empire was a failure? 575265 At its greatest the Roman Empire was far from a failure. However, the Roman civilization ultimately crumbled, although not to the extent of some other civilizations, but still the civilization ultimately crumbled. Therefore, in the end the Roman Empire became a failure as any fallen empire or civilization would be considered.
September 28, 200422 yr But it couldn't be contained after centuries upon centuries of existence, by no fault of the original Imperialistic Romans. The EMpire fell for many major reasons, but imperialism wasn't one. The Empire stopped expanding after a while and just maintained itself. The government corrupted and mercenaries didn't fight for Rome like they once did, but when it was expanding it was as successful as they come.
September 28, 200422 yr still the roman empire was an imperalistic nation. and they ultimately failed. while they did not fail at the peak of their imperalistic times, they still ultimately lead to failure. While Rome did not fail under the governing powers of the Caesars, when they were truly an imperalistic nation, toward the end of their existence they ceased to be the same power they were. Another example would be England, under the crown system they ultimately fail, while the civilization remains, its under a different form than during the imperalistic days. Which brings back the point, no imperalistic nation has survived in the same form as during their imperalistic high.
