October 6, 200421 yr Howard is backing the wrong horse here. Sirius is in serious trouble as far as market share and long-term market viability with regards to it's competition with XM. XM is kicking Sirius' arse. Plus, n one is going to go out and subscribe to Sirius just because Howard is on.

I think its a typo... 584352[/snapback] not a snowball's chance in hell he'd be paid only $1 million per year (or $5 million per year, for that matter). if i'm not mistaken, the $100 million is what the total yearly cost of putting together the program will be.
October 6, 200421 yr Author Sirius is starting to catch up to XM in sales and is expected to pass XM soon. Having the NFL, NBA, NHL, PAC 10, SEC, Big Ten, Big 12 and Big East also helps...but when you add Stern...you created a product for many niches. XM has NASCAR, the ACC, PAC 10, and Big Ten along with Opie and Anthony. MLB has not signed with either and instead uses ESPN Radio to distribute their Sunday Night Baseball and Playoff Games via the Sat. Radio.
