CNN-Early poll: Kerry clear winner in debate

Featured Replies

CNN is so liberal just like every other media outlet aside from Fox News...

Anyone who puts any substance in these polls need to get their head checked.

Care to give proof behind both of those statments or are they, as usual, self fulfilling phrophecies?

Keep hope alive guys that Kerry will actually win the election!

The vomit of a desperate person. :)

These "polls" are ridiculous and prove nothing, all they show is there are more Kerry supporters browsing and voting on the internet, that's it.

Kerry did not win the debate last night and if anyone has the audacity to actually say he did just proves how blinded they are by their hate for GWB. Kerry was terrible last night and couldn't even answer anything with a direct plan. He basically spent the entire debate spouting extremely generalized BS and when he wasn't doing that he was going off on a tirade bashing Bush.

Gallup polling info indicates that people think Kerry did a better job in the debate, but still like and trust Bush more. Negligable changes or Bush advantage in likeability, trust and shared values polling.

I'm now starting to think that because the debates themselves have been so marginalized by media scrutiny about how contrived they are that people are granteing htem the creedence they once were.

It was a scientific poll smartguy.

I'm sensing desperation by Bush people in here and on campus which is telling of their true opinions on how Bush did in debate and where the momentum is.

Yup. If you want a dead-on prognostication of societal voting patterns the two most accurate places to be are on this board and on a college campus.

80 percent of the people on the board, while opinionated, educated and relatively well informed, will have to be worying about the junior prom this fall, not voting.

As for a college campus, I'm not even going to bother, it's pretty self evident.

Say what you will but the nature and tone of comments from the Bushites tells me that we have some very worried people.

The fact that you are trying to extrapolate some type of quantitative political data via a subjective assesment of people on a BBS and aorund a college campus tells me YOU might be the one a little worried.

oh brother fish fillet. I never attached any scientific evidence to my statement, but now, I see that maybe I should have qualified it by saying something like "this statement is only one man's opinion...dont let it ruin your day!" Besides you dont need my comments to know that the momentum is still in the Kerry camp.

I get it now. That all knowing, scientific measure of political standing known as momentum.

Well, I get a sense that a bunch of people that are voting for Bush feel really, really good. So, I gues sthat would mean that this election is mere formality before Bush wins.

I'm gonna go watch the idiot box now and wait for Kerry to concede the election in light my overwhelming evidence. :p

Shamrock, I know precisley what you are saying. Its not an issue of scientific polling or anything. Watching the true believers can be an interesting observation. Listen, after the RNC, all the media talked about was how democrats seemed beaten, how Kerry seemed to have let them down when Bush was showing double digit leads. Shamrock was adding nothing different. I dont think he was saying this election is over. But behavior of national Republicans has been indicitive of the same thing sham mentioned. First it was flipflop, then the first debate undid that. Then it was tax and spend liberal..third debate couldnt do that for Bush. Now they are looking for any little thing they can. Yeah its not all Republicans, but the true believers such as College Repubs who read the talking points and repeat them can be indicitive. But its just an obervation.
