How does a loss affects you?

Featured Replies

it sucks, but I get on with it.

When I was younger I'd get pissed if the Gators lost. But, really...I've come to realize that you can be a good fan and not have it affect the rest of your life.

Now, if Furman loses, it is part of my life. I want that Southern Conference and National Championship ring...and losing is just sickening. If the Marlins lose, it sucks....but I definitely get over it quickly. I mean, it's not like I think about the Marlins or Gators all day. I dont have time.

when 1 of my teams loses a regular season game yea it hurts for a little while but it goes away...when its a game that counts like last nights yankee game,aw man am not going to work today and am hating life...those damn red sox...

sadly enough, i get pretty pissed for the rest of the night if i care for the team enough

when the heat lost to indy to end their season, i was just staring at the tv and i got all teary-eyed. i just couldn't believe that this magical run was over (who woulda known shaq was gonna show up 2 months later?).

when the heat lose, it gets me pretty aggravated...with the marlins, it's not as bad but im still pretty annoyed

It's on varying levels.

A blowout loss, and I'm a sad kid for a couple hours.

A heartbreaker, and I'm angered to the point that I'll snap at someone for looking at me in a strange way.

A close but no cigar loss, I start pointing out every single flaw in everything ever. This can actually be amusing.

A wtf just happened loss, and I'm basically inaudible for a while.

A bad managerial move loss are the ones that bug me though. I really get pissed at people.

These all last anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour or two.

Playoff losses carry over, sort of (same rules above applying, just for longer time). If something bad happens or someone reminds me of the game the next morning, then it all starts happening again. But if I'm kept away from it I'm normal. If it's a playoff loss in an afternoon game it wears off by nightime.

It's just fun for me. When it stops being fun, I move on. A really heartbreaking loss can sour my stomach for a bit, but I get over it in time. I'll grr if I see a highlight, but that's about it. It's hard for me to get that upset about something I had absolutely no part and no influence on.

I've known people whose entire mood depends on whether their team won or lost that day and it is f***IN annoying.

when the marlins lose a regular season game i get mad for half an hour or so and then eventually get over it, i get worse when i go to the games and they lose ....i start kicking the trash cans at the parking lots and its halarious how people react lol.....then i just think about how much i love them and that they're still my team and just take it easy, but if they lose a playoff game or world series game....i'll get really sad and if they ever lose a WS i know i'll cry.

thats how it is with me, a marlins or heat regular season loss doesnt really sting me, it depends on the situation but it wont bother me for long. its the postseason losses that makes me act the way i said i react.

i do take a dolphins regular season losses a little harder because its only a 16 game schedule and every game means so much.
