October 29, 200422 yr Burnitz, Rockies decline option DENVER - The Colorado Rockies and Jeromy Burnitz declined Thursday to exercise a $3 million mutual option, and the outfielder will get a $250,000 buyout. Burnitz, 35, led the Rockies with 37 home runs last season and was second with 110 RBIs. He becomes eligible to file for free agency. The Rockies mailed thank you letters this week to both Burnitz and Royce Clayton, The Denver Post reported. Colorado intends to use younger players next season. never was a big fan but i would take that lefty pop on the fish if we could somehow spin Enc.
October 29, 200422 yr Burnitz isn't that bad outside of Coors, he's just phenomenal at Coors. If we could get him for relatively cheap, I'd take him. Home: .322 BA .1056 OPS 24 HR 68 RBI Away: .244 BA .775 OPS 13 HR 42 RBI Only 7 GIDPs. I bet Enc gets more than that in a series.
