November 4, 200422 yr Congrats Roider Unit better win the Cy Young.. he had a much better year than Schmidt
November 5, 200421 yr Author Unit better win the Cy Young.. he had a much better year than Schmidt 608498[/snapback] Cy Young 1. Clemens 2. Schmidt 3. Johnson
November 6, 200421 yr Clemens - 214.3 IP, 18 W. 218 K, 2.98 ERA, 1.16 WHIP, .208 BAA, 0 CG Johnson - 245.7 IP, 16 W, 290 K, 2.60 ERA, 0.90 WHIP, .193 BAA, 4 CG, 2 SO Schmidt - 225.0 IP, 18 W, 251 K, 3.20 ERA, 1.08 WHIP, .196 BAA, 4 CG, 3 SO If the people that hand the award out are smart, Unit should get it in a landslide.. with a nice race for 2nd between Clemens, Schmidt and Oswalt. He is beating every other person in all categories except wins, which a reflection on the team not individual performance, which the award is given for. He has been the best pitcher in the NL the whole year, period. Look at his NL ranks: 2nd IP, 2nd ERA, 1st WHIP, 1st BAA, 1st strikeouts, 4th CG, 3rd CGSO and he's still 5th in wins.. oh and he had a perfect game.
November 6, 200421 yr Author I'm sorry, but 14 losses is just too many for the Cy Young this is my prediction of how the results go: 1. Roger Clemens 2. Jason Schimdt 3. Roy Oswalt 4. Randy Johnson 5. Carl Pavano
November 6, 200421 yr lol you're a joke It's not like the losses were his fault. if he were on any other team, he probably would have had 25 wins. This award is for the best pitcher of the year, and RANDY JOHNSON HAS BEEN THE BEST PITCHER THIS YEAR, ITS NOT EVEN CLOSE.
November 6, 200421 yr and werent you the one who said Eric Milton and Oliver Perez were higher on the list than Pavano.. that's right.. you were the one who said that. I forgot who I'm arguing with, its like talking to a wall
