According to the Minneapolis Star Tribune; Twins assistant general manager, Wayne Krivsky, is watching the Phillies and Marlins play. Wayne told a Star Tribune reporter that he isn't there to scout a specific player, but the Marlins could trade 2nd baseman/leadoff hitter Luis Castillo before the July 31 trading deadline.

Justin Morneau

Theres is also top prospects Justin Morneau (Now a Major Leaguer), and Joe Maur.

Lew Ford is another good OF prospect. He's hitting .350 in the majors now. I live about an hour from the Twins AAA teaml, the Rochester Red Wings, so they get a lot of coverage in our local paper. Some other Twins prospects:

OF Michael Restovich (AAA)

P Michael Nakamura (AAA- may be in majors now)

Twins are friggin STACKED! Would love to have them as trading partners...They need a 1B ALSO dont they? If we could unload Luis/Lee for 3 or 4 of those guys they will win first and we are set in the OF for the next decade.

Damn you beat me to it, I hope its LHP Johan Santana and one of those OFers or Morneau. I doubt its Morneau but anything is possible. The Twins system is the deepest of any organization( as far as position players ready to play) NOW this organization can right a wrong. What I mean Dealin Dave trade this guy away in rule 5 draft (99') to draft RHP Jaret Wright who never made the team out of spring training. The Marlins had the second selection and the Twins had first selection that year. I'll try to sniff around but the Twins like to play it very close to the vest.
