July 7, 200323 yr Tonight I was hyped. I was ready. The best word is, I was expecting the Marlins to have 3 names listed to represent them in the National League All-Star game. What do I and the other Marlin fans get? Dirt kicked in our faces. ONE single Marlin, and I'm suprised even HE, a guy who will be in the HR derby, made it with how poorly these teams were chosen. Well, I am mad. I bet Dontrelle, Alex, and Pudge are mad, too. So is Thome. And Geoff Jenkins. And Aramas Ramerez. And countless others. But I say this team, the Florida Marlins, go out in this series against the Cubs with a HUGE boost of confidence from this. Jack McKeon, and these players are going to go out and show Dusty exactly what he didn't choose, and they're going to win. And what he did choose are going to get beaten. I hope they SWEEP these god damn p***y a** Bakers dozen losses in a row Cubs and show them who is going to be in October with their ONE All-Star. I'm sorry if I rambled, but you get my point. There is no better way to go out and show Dusty what they hell is wrong with him than to go out and beat him and his players and Bad.
July 7, 200323 yr Author Nice Post.....exactly my mind set about the whole Cub's series thing This wasn't exactly my state of mind about 2 hours ago, when I though we'd have 3 AS's out on the field for us. BUT NOW IT"S ON, AND HE MADE IT PERSONAL!
July 7, 200323 yr Baker's comments about how he HAD to take Wood over Willis was just enough for me to understand how it is. 6 in a row for the Marlins after the Cubs series.
July 7, 200323 yr Author Baker's comments about how he HAD to take Wood over Willis was just enough for me to understand how it is. 6 in a row for the Marlins after the Cubs series. "Well, I felt that because he was voted sixth..." blah blah blah! Take the pitcher everyone wants to see! Hold back your favortism and give it to DONTRELLE! I'm going to change a Ludicrus quote... "What's Dontrelle gonna do? ACT A FOOL! (Against the Cubs)"
July 7, 200323 yr It depends on how this team take this dirt kicked on our face. I truly think we are going to be a better team now, specialy against the Cubs. Today was a great day, no matter what. We completed a sweep and are only 3 games behind on the WC and the season is still young. And as another poster wrote on another thread, this will be a day to remember. There is a lot going on for us to spent to much time on the All Star game debacle. I hope the team is discussing now how to hit Clement and how Becket should pitch to the Cubs, rather than the All Star results. There is always a positive on any situation. . .
July 7, 200323 yr Author And as another poster wrote on another thread, this will be a day to remember. That was the guy who started this thread, me. We will come back with a great attitude of WE MUST KILL ALL CUBS in this series. I want to see Dusty Baker crying in the Cubs dugout when Dontrelle kills them. We are going to either win or sweep this series, and it will generate even more momentum for us. What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger...
July 7, 200323 yr Dusty will have to pay the price to all 16 NL teams if he loses the All Star game and home field advantage for us this year. In the old rotation this was an NL WS home year and if he loses it the NL teams are screwed. Let us show Dusty where it counts, in the regular season games. We play all six games aroung the all star break. (3 before and 3 after) LET CUBS FANS, PLAYERS, COACHES, AND DUSTY SUFFER THE WRATH OF OUR BELOVED MARLINS. :marlins
July 7, 200323 yr LET CUBS FANS, PLAYERS, COACHES, AND DUSTY SUFFER THE WRATH OF OUR BELOVED MARLINS. :marlins HELL YEA! :cool
July 7, 200323 yr Hey, I don't care what their motivation is- this is another important series in a long line against winning teams. They need these to stay in the Wild Card hunt.
