ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) -- Left-hander Michael Tejera agreed Thursday to a minor league contract with the Texas Rangers and was invited to spring training. Tejera was acquired by the Rangers after he was waived by Florida in September, and made six relief appearances in Texas. He has pitched 108 career games, compiling an 11-13 record with a 5.06 ERA. The Rangers also hired Kevin Harmon as an assistant trainer, filling the spot vacated last month when Ray Ramirez became head trainer of the New York Mets. Harmon spent the last two seasons as the Rangers minor league medical and strength coordinator.
