It was only there to act as filler. I don't even remember the second one, except a scene or two, that movie was so un-needed.

Third one was garbage. Second one has really been growing on me. The "cause" speech by the Merovingian was quite interesting as was the speech about the Matrix by the Architect. The action was fantastic also. However, Keanu and Carrie-Ann Moss had absolutely no chemistry and most of the acting was terrible.

Are there really people that go and buy the movies and then go and buy these special edition ones also. I have all of the Matrix and Lord of the Ring series seperatly and wont buy any of these special ones.

I have to confess I'm that way with Star Wars. I've purchased Matrix 1 & 3 on VHS and have been waiting for this to come out on DVD.

Man, I liked 3!

Maybe cuz I'm a sucker for huge sieges on cities, but that was a cool hour. On a mental standpoint, however, it is surely the weakest of the three.

not sure of the titles, but the episode where the machine "turns human". You know, the really funky one.

I enjoyed the 2 episodes on how the machines came to power, it made you understand the movies a little more. They are all good though.

Matrix Reloaded is VERY underrated. I think more people will appreciate it over time. For most people, it takes more than one viewing to understand what was going on (esp. the Merovingion's speech and the Architect's speech). I remember I was constantly having to explain to people what happened in that movie after it first came out. They would get all pissed off about something, I'd explain why it happened and then they would get that look of "Oh, yeah, now that makes sense." And I find the more I watched it, the more I saw new things going on.

I think a few tweaks would've made the movie better.

1. Cut the rave scene.

2. Cut the fight scene between the Merovingion's goons and Neo (or have Neo beat them down in no-time flat).

3. Put more speed back into the fighting to give you a sense of how fast these people really were moving (like in the Neo/Smith fight and the Neo/Morpheus fight in the first one) - all the slow motion became repetitive. It was cool when Neo spun around on the pole kicking the Smiths, but it also would've looked cool if they added that aspect to the Neo/Seraph fight.

A shorter movie would've made for a better movie.

It wasn't that I didn't understand the movie. I just found it extremely boring. It wasn't very entertaining at all. I'm sure part of it is because they tried to fit too much into one movie along with a few pointless scenes. I think had they devided the last two movies into three, basically fleshing out Reloaded out into two, it probably would've been much better.
