It is, most big time recruits annoucne their choice at a press conference.

I looked him up. 4 star Corner on Scout.com database.

 

Down to Iowa and Michigan, looks like he picked Michigan.

 

4.35 speed but only 5-8.5.

In all the articles I've read about him for the last couple weeks, he's repeatedly dropped big hints he's going to Michigan. He's mentioned the distance factor at least 3 times in each article I've read.

Iowa made a late push at Octavian when we were fearful of Abdul Hodge was going pro... but now Hodge is staying put, so losing out on a JC LB isn't that big of a loss. But I agree, good find by Nebraska. It looks like Iowa is going to get Elijah Hodge, Abdul's brother. It was reported that Florida made a strong push at him but I think Iowa will land him.

 

I am so pumped if we get Dan Doering (5*) and Dace Richardson (4*).. if we get those 2 to go along with Rafaeul Eubanks (4*) (just commited) and Andy Kumpel (3*), this might be the best offensive line recruiting class I've seen in a long time.... especially looking good to go with Jake Christensen (QB) and hopefully, Corey Robertson (RB).

Yea.. Scout does a good job but the Iowa Rivals site is head and shoulders above the Iowa scout site, fwiw.

To be honest there are so many players leaving the team or transfering. Are you talking about today? Pilkington one of my favorite players quit today along with Birkel another WR? Any of those guys? Also Horne our RB got caught drinking at a bar and he is only 20 he also had some weed in his possession. Rumors have it that Callahan will probably kick him off the team since it's his second infraction.

All I read was that he wanted to concentrate on school. I know there was a bit of controversy involving Pilkington though. The school said he was injured for the last four or so games (I think) while Pilkington said he was healthy. Pilkington wasn?t too happy about it and maybe it factored into his decision.

After reading some articles on Huskerfootball.com I found out that it was Birkel who had some negative comments about Callahan.

 

According to a RB at Nebraska (Pittman) it looks like more players will transfer. I guess a lot of the players don't like the NFL atmosphere.

 

Looks like another year of rebuilding.
