why would we need/want Hanley Ramirez anyway?

because he would be called up on a lot of mlb teams :plain

No to the trade...we can get better for AJ

But not ours.

I forgot what a behemoth Alex Gonzalez is....

Ramirez could be an everyday player next year. He's a stud.

If he's so good, you keep'em.

Why don't you propose a real trade?

Edgar Renteria, thats why.

There is obviously somethign very wrong internally with Burnett or he would not be in alot of trade rumors. Bosto nwill eat salary for Burnett, and The Marlins will lick their lips for that and Hanely.

internally wrong? nah, i think the fact that he's gonna be a free agent after the season is reason enough for the FO to consider the trade, so at least we get something for him. but, there better be a good pitcher in return b/c otherwise we're pretty much throwing in the towel for 2005.

But if Ramirez is so amazing, why bother signing Renteria?

The only thing that's "wrong" with Burnett is that he's scheduled to have a huge payday coming up.
