July 9, 200323 yr Personally,looper isnt the guy i want closing our games because as you can see he almost blew the game yesterday,.,.,and when ever he's up,he doesnt have thet closeres edge..a closer needs to be a guy that comes in and blows you away,looper gets into jams (3-0,2-0)...I would sleep a whole lot better if we had a better closer.

July 9, 200323 yr I also agree with the whole looper insident. But right now we have no one else that can do the job so where gunna have to stick with him. As long as he's getting the saves we can't complain.

July 9, 200323 yr Well, Benitez will help us A LOT. Think about it. Looper is an awesome closer under pressure, but with a big lead feels to comfortable and struggles with his control. Benitez, however, is an awesome closer with NO pressure, and when there is he struggles with his control. So for an easy save, have Looper set-up in the 8th, and Armando close in the ninth. For a tough save, have Armando set-up in the 8th (if at all), and have Looper cloe it out in the 9th.

Personally, Looper is the guy I want closing games because as you can see he saved the game yesterday,.,.,and when he's in the game he has the closer's edge..a closer needs to be a guy who comes in and gets the job done (results are the bottom line)...I would have nightmares if we had a closer like so many others in the majors. There are many, many teams that love to have Loop as their closer. :banghead
