Would Kevin Brown waive his

Featured Replies

The Yankees are supposedly willing to pay around half of his $15 million salary depending on the caliber of prospect they get. Would Brown accept playing here? We could add him to 1997 vets leiter, conine and alfonseca (HeHe). Rather than go three years $7 million per for a slightly above average Milton why not take Brown for one year and about $7.5 million. Beckett, Burnett, Brown, Leiter and Willis is pretty sweet and makes alot of financial sense imo. I am still not sure where the $7.5 milion would come from but the papers continue to report we are looking at a free agent pitcher?

Who exactly are we trading to NY for Brown?

Encarnacion then we sign Magglio :plain

If it did not come at a huge cost I would not object to it.

I think we should pass on getting involved with Brown. He's just about done.

Brown looked pretty sweet the first half of last year...i would like to have him back in the rotation depending on the prospect we would have to give up.

follow up question: if Brown comes back, do you think more fans would come back to the pro now that the 97 marlins seem to be coming back to south florida? :o :D :mischief
