December 23, 200421 yr Milton is a very good pitcher. The problem with last season is that he is a flyball pitcher who was playing his home games in a stadium where routine flyballs go over the wall, Citizens Bank Park in Philly. Put him in PPS and he'll be really good. I hope we can sign him, if we can afford him. 640754 Well spoken. The guy pitched pretty well for the Twins. My problem is, at 3 years $24 M, why not just sign Clement (3/$25M)? Has more upside (eventhough the Red Sux signed him...hate that team...). 641416 While that does make some sense logically, it is totally untrue if you look at the numbers Split ERA W L Sv Svo G IP H R ER BB K AVG A Home 4.23 7 6 0 0 18 110.2 108 52 52 21 84 .252 Away 5.97 6 3 0 0 12 60.1 65 44 40 9 37 .269
December 23, 200421 yr Not there is the HR stats: 12 HRs in 18 home games. 12 HRs in 12 away games. Case closed.
December 23, 200421 yr Eric Milton - S - PHI Still hopeful of landing Randy Johnson, Yankees GM Brian Cashman said the team is no longer in talks with Eric Milton. Perhaps the best thing the Yankees have made so far this winter was a non-move. The Marlins seem to be Milton's top suitor right now. The Dodgers and Mariners might also have some interest. www.rotoworld.com To me this is bad news. I hope and im praying the Marlins don't sign Milton especially because for the 8 mil a year he wants. I thougt 8mil for Leiter was alot but atleast its only a one year deal and he is going to bring his veteran leadership that can help all our pitchers. If Beinfest is looking for another starter he should look at Millwood or Perez.

December 24, 200421 yr It's funny this guy has never had an ERA under 4, yet has a career 71-57 record. Go Figure.
