Big fan of Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds eh??? :plain

Anyways, I agree with Tonyi here.....The Beatles had some good stuff, but they aren't the martyrs for music that they are made out to be.

I really hope it didn't take you more than 30 seconds to figure that out after hearing the song.

No, but i'm just making the point that the post opium stuff is pretty much a bunch of stoner music.

Is that why you like it?? :plain

you want some good Beatles with no drug references and just plain old rock and roll?? their best stuff was without a doubt their later albums. rock and blues. and they perfrected it.

"Back in the USSR"

"Rocky Raccoon"

"Why Dont We do it in the Road"

"Birthday"

"She Came in Through the Bathroom Window"

"Something"

"Get Back"

just to name a few...

They're just as overexposed as the Beatles, and I just don't see that caliber of appeal

As time goes on, Pink Floyd is less and less known, while the Beatles are still a mainstay. They aren't as front and center as they once was, and their music now I think superceeds their image.
