January 31, 200521 yr Since there are a few FIU peeps on these boards I figured I would post this here. Not many of you know of it but FIU does have a Rugby team (a pretty darn good one at that), but lately we have been low on numbers at practice. We are always looking to recruit new players so if you or anyone you know is interested in playing rugby let me know and I'll give you directions to the practice field (FIU doesn't let us use their field anymore). Practices are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7 to 9 pm, anyone is welcome to come by and give the sport a try (we even have a women's team, so ladies are welcome too). Saturday was our first game of the season, which we won, against FAU (22-3 I believe, you lose count when you're on the field kicking ass) I strongly urge anyone even slightly interested in learning more about rugby to go to one of the practices, or even come watch one of our games. This coming Saturday is our next game (at home) if the other team confirms...if you just want to watch let me know so I can give you more details...
February 2, 200521 yr Author I don't think we have a hockey team...btw did I mention you don't have to be an FIU student to join? Cmon people, show some interest!
February 3, 200521 yr I know FIU did have a hockey team at one point. I am not sure if it still exists. I knew a guy who played with them and I used to watch them practice at Goodlet Park.

I know Lynn and FAU have D3 teams, so I would think FIU had one as well, not sure though.
