lucaze
Early this morning Marino Zerbini, the 1st base of the Milano baseball team in the 60s, passed away. He was a great glove, an incredible fighter, a wonderful man, a fanstatic teacher and my father. He put me on his glove when I was still a kid maybe hoping to follow his step. Unfortunately I didn't and I was not able to bring him to States to see a game live as he always wished. I will follow the Fish and the wonderful game of baseball more than even in his honor. Thank you for sharing with me the passion of this game. Luca

Beinfest4Prez
Wow, Luca, thats a great loss to the Milano baseball community and especially you. We need more of your father over in Europe to help promote and nurture the slowly growing popularity of the sport in Europe.

lucaze
Here is the result of my research: CUS MILANO Year 1957 The second right below. CUS MILANO Year 1958 The forth right below. That year Milano won the Italian championship and my dad was selected for the national team.
