Dunwoody use to be in the royals. Manny Aybar waspitching for the Dominican League. Garry Knotts is a starter for the Tigers. Chuk Smith is still in the Minors with te Braves. Hansel Izquierdo i am not sure but i think he is in the Boston organization...

Dunwoody is with the Cards organization, Aybar with the Giants, and Izquierdo is with the Expos.

Ive been thinking, lets see if anyone can find what happened to some of these former Marlins (I'll try to exclude obvious ones like ma boy Charlie).

Junior Felix

Bret Barberie

Walt Weiss

Scott Pose

Scott Lyden (not sure if thats the actual name, catcher in the first season)

Which team does Bob Natal pen coach for again?

Jack Armstrong

Brian Harvey

Felix "El Gato Flaco" Heredia

The Mexican guy who wore 25, Matos or something like that

Felix was with the Yankees organization at one point...i think until recently.

Barberie should have retired by now.

Weiss retired after playing with Colorado.

Pose (unknown)

Jack Armstrong is retired, he's pretty old now.

Harvey attempted a comeback from arm surgery, but couldn't do it.

Felix Heredia was with the Reds the last time I checked, after we got rid of him.

The others i don't know.

How about Ryan Bowen?

Dunwoody is with the Cards organization, Aybar with the Giants, and Izquierdo is with the Expos.

Izquierdo is in the Red Sox Organization

Heredia spent several years with the Cubs (that's where we traded him to), before bouncing around.

I'll try and think of some others while at work here :confused

The "Mexican Guy" you're thinking about was Matias Carillo.

Natal is the bullpen coach for the Expos, I talked to him at Spring Training this year.

what bout alex arias.

didn't he retire?

I believe Arias was with the Yankees, this year if I remember correctly.

Didn't Jack Armstrong pitch 1 or 2 years ago for the Marlins Single-A club? I thought that was odd.

I remember Harvey trying to comeback with the Marlins. That didn't last long.

Also, the Lyden you are thinking of is Mitch. He was famous for homering in his first Major League at-bat.

Another Former marlin Berg is with the Blue Jays now.

Heredia is with the Reds now and is doing good.

Darenburg is now with Colorado.

Chuck Carr was a pistol. He always reminded me of Willie Mays Hayes from Major League.

Terry McGriff...interesting. Catcher...Reds...a Marlin for such a short time...I have like 34659854978 of his 1988 Topps cards.

Chuck Carr should have been in Major League instead of Wesley Snipes

did chuckie speak in third person??

occassionally (sp?)

Just look at WSFish's signature...

That ain't Chuckie's game. Chuckie hacks on 2 and 0.-Chuck Carr

yeah, thats why i asked, when did he say that quote, and why?

He said that quote in 97. he said that cuz it was a 2 and 0 count and the coach told him to take the pitch and he didn't. he was asked about and that's what he said.
