February 23, 200521 yr Eli Manning...who had a game this year with a passer raiting of 0.0. Vick is the most overrated player in the NFL. You will never be wrong The Fan, so it is almost pointless arguing with you. You have a serious ego problem that Id hope you get figured out...it will be difficult to last in the real world and at a job with your 'tude. The bolding and capitalization of my name was a cute touch BTW. 692749 I said Eli for the future. Vick might be overrated hin your eyes, but he is also the biggest game changer and all you have to do is look at the Falcons without him and with him and see how imortant he is.
February 23, 200521 yr hasselbeck was injured for a lot of last year as well seriously, McNairs career is done brooks put up worse #s with just as much offensive talent (not to mention that he's a headcase) kerry collins is old as dirt and had a terrible season I can tell this is pointless ... I'm shocked you didn't put McCown & Ramsey ahead of him as well
February 23, 200521 yr Yes but when you calculate in how hard it is to get a solid QB, and how easy it is to get a producing RB Hasselbeck > Alexander 692668 But you seem not to understand, he is not just some producing RB. He is an overall very skilled RB who came within 1 yard of leading the league in rushing. With the ages of RBs going up these days, he should have several big years infront of him. He is not just some RB, he is a top 3-5 in the game. Can you say Hassleback is top 15, top 10? Doubtful. 692683 What makes you believe that the age of running backs is going up? Is that just you saying that or is that a fact? The fact that Curtis Martin at just 31 is the oldest running back to ever lead the NFL in rushing is very telling... At 31, some QB's havent even had their best season's yet. If you look at Alexander's games this year...he got a large bulk of his yards on teams that were in a losing streak and had porous defenses. (SF, CAR, STL in back2back2back weeks) Against above average defenses (TB, NYJ, NE, and Buffallo) he packed it in running for an average of 60 yards... When guys like Domanick Davis (4th round pick) and Reuben Droughns (Undrafted) can get over the century mark shows that a running back behind a decent line doesnt have to have exceptional talent to excel. Running back is the most overrated position in the NFL and the most overpayed. 692692 1. Jerome Bettis also showed it this year. He is also a big bruiser who takes more punishment than the average person, so therefore there is a chance that someone like Alexander can keep getting better and at 27, he is still young. 2. If Reuben Droughns was so great, why is Denver trying to get rid of him and find a new starter? Why are they not content? 3. I was unware Reuben Droughns was undrafted. I was under the impression he was taken by the Detroit Lions in round 3 of the 2000 draft (81 overall). 4. The century mark is overrated. It is 100yds in a game, big deal. 5. It is widely said, a great RB makes his line and not the other way around. Just like Das says with Emmitt Smith, "I was unware that he gained all of his yards by him just running in a straight line through the offensive line" 692755 1. Bettis is a rarity...he is a HOFer...there are few backs that have ever had his longevity...name some others that have lasted as long as him in the past 10 years (Ill spot you Emmit) From ESPN: the average lifespan for an NFL back is 2.8 years. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story...ss/050211&num=2 2. I didnt say Droughns was greta...the Broncos can get rid of him because he is nothing special, exactly what my points are...young 1,000 yard backs are very easy to come across. 3. My fault, it wasnt listed on ESPN, I stand corrected. 4. If the century mark is overrated...why did Alexander only get to it 7 times (less than half of his games this season)? 5. Denver made many backs much better talents than they actually were. Emmit again, is a HOFer...not your average back...Besides Payton, Sanders, and Brown....80-90% of backs are the products of some damn good lines.

I refuted every single point you had...and i get your nickel respones which is typical of you anytime you get punked down.
February 23, 200521 yr I don't want to speak for him, but what I think he's saying is that they are both very good players However, it's harder to find a very good QB than a very good RB this is probably why people tend to gamble with QBs in the top 5 picks of a draft, where the top RB is often 5-10 this is probably why the top 5 QBs on average make 2M a season more than the top 5 RBs I love alexander and am glad he got the franchise tag today ... however, as a hawks fan if I had to lose one of those 2 players I'd rather lose alexander ... he isn't a top 3 back in the league and the hawks have the offense where it would be easier to make up his contribution through Maurice Morris, Kerry Carter, FA and the draft If they lost Hass they would be stuck with Dilfer, Wallace (who I like), the draft and some FA options that aren't that appealing (like griese) don't get me wrong, losing alexander would be a tough blow .... but it would be easier to mitigate than losing hass

However, what you did do was wear on my nerves and I gave up arguing against your backward logic.

February 23, 200521 yr as a dolphin fan you should also know about how hard it is to find a QB ............. the hawks have always had RBs .... a QB has always been more difficult ... Hass is the first decent QB since dave krieg left in that time frame they had a slew of good RBs come through and carry the load

The talent to win the heisman and leave college as the all-time leading rusher. The talent to lead the NFL in rushing behind a terrible offensive line. The talent to run in the 4.4s at 230+ pounds, run over or around defenders and be called "Little Earl Cambell" while at Texas. Yeah, good argument Passion. :thumbup

I would say you would learn this, however, its obvious with your lack of success in life mixed with a lack of brain power has culminated with you having to become a "personal trainer" for a living. Good luck with that pal. 692874 You attack someone's very part time job? You are so macho you clown. I have had 3 knee operations and a setback from one operation which was done improperly, that has hampered alot of the jobs i can do physically...My goal in life is not to become a personal trainer...Its just a fun way for me to earn some spending money and not take up alot of my time. I have a background in fitness and I it earns me some easy money to hang out at a gym Im at alot anyways. Alot of jobs that college students have are really what they will continue to do outside of college.... You really showed your maturity and true colors when someone gets your feathers ruffled...tell me big shot where do you go to school?
February 23, 200521 yr Yes but when you calculate in how hard it is to get a solid QB, and how easy it is to get a producing RB Hasselbeck > Alexander 692668 But you seem not to understand, he is not just some producing RB. He is an overall very skilled RB who came within 1 yard of leading the league in rushing. With the ages of RBs going up these days, he should have several big years infront of him. He is not just some RB, he is a top 3-5 in the game. Can you say Hassleback is top 15, top 10? Doubtful. 692683 name 15 QB's better than hasselbeck in the league today 692685 He cant...but I will name you Curtis Martin, Edgerrin James, Corey Dillon, Ladanian Tomlinson, Clinton Portis, and Tiki Barber who I would rather have on my team talent and mental wise. 692693 Id rather have Manning, McNair, Vick, Brady, Culpepper, McNabb, Favre, Pennington, Green, Bulger, Rothlisburger, Palmer, Collins, Leftwich, Brooks, Delhomme, Brees, Carr. That is 18 QBs I'd take over him and that is just for next year. For later on I'd also take Eli Manning and Philip Rivers among others. I am also not so sure Billy Volek did not look more impressive than Hasselback did. There you go, PASSION 692742 maybe you can't read, but i asked for 15 that are better TODAY you have fun building your team around the current Eli, Leftwich, Palmer, & Carr as for Collins & Brooks... well... they don't really garner a response from me and you could argue that more of those guys aren't as good as Hasselbeck, which is what i believe
