MARLINS R BACK!

Baltimore, a large black community, has drawn very well (12 out of 30 teams at 29,210 avg. per game). Your blacks hating baseball mentality is not valid.

BTW, Cubans do have blacks, whites, etc. I know firsthand, there are races within the nationality.

But we both know DC will get a team before the Caribbean.

And the Expos are already 68% latin based (17 out of 25 for the mathematically challenged such as odom and others who will remain nameless). Moving them to DC wouldn't get too much, Blacks don't like latins and latins don't like blacks unless they are latin blacks (which is an oxymoron, in Cuba at least there is no black and white everyone is simply cuban).

dude, are you Latin? just wanted to find out

OK, you completely misunderstood my sentence that said there are no black cubans and no white cubans, they are just cubans. We just don't have cuban indians, thanks to the spanish.

Does Baltimore have a basketball team? A hockey team? All Baltimore has is baseball and football, and baseball has a rich established tradition in Baltimore. And doesn't have a 68% of its team to be from Latin America, now does it.

Yes I know DC is going to get a team before the Carribean. I also know that teams will continue to not get the same amount of coverage on national #1 broadcasts. And I also know that for these two reasons and for others, the world's greatest sport will continue to slip in the US and disparity will continue and be rampant.

marlin02-where did you buy your ticket?

at the stadium box office

You forgot the crabcakes :brigginbounce

Washington has tradition in baseball. They had one of the original 8 AL clubs. Washington has grown alot since the Senators/Rangers left.

im sure they can handle a team now, but lets not forget that they've lost 2 teams (the Twins and Rangers). one is one thing, but 2 really doesnt look good.

also about Baltimores tradition, they also have a rich tradition in football, lets not forget the Colts.

Washington and Baltimore have strong football and baseball traditions. I think it is time to return baseball to DC/Virginia, 30+ years is long enough.

I personally don't, but its not like my opinion is gonna shake the world and prevent the team from going to DC. At least maybe the Expos will play in San Juan next year!
