Today is drug testing for the Saux and the Marlins, according to the Dan Patrick show.

JP seemed a little worried today.....

Jack seems to have lost a lot of weight and muscle mass...

Should any player test positive, how would the MLB make the announcement? and when?

I certainly am not looking forward to a ticker at the bottom of ESPN News called "steroids" that just lists the player so everyone can see, but I am skeptical about the way that news would be released.

JUPITER, Fla. -- An undisclosed number of Florida Marlins underwent random testing today as baseball began to implement its new drug agreement.

The program is designed to detect performance-enhancing drugs, including steroids.

Third baseman Mike Lowell said most players were relieved something's being done so the majority "don't get thrown into the mud because of the minority."

Sluggers Lowell and Carlos Delgado said they had not yet been asked to provide samples.

Under the new rules, a player would be suspended for ten days for a first positive test for a performance-enhancing drug.

Under the previous deal a player who tested positive for the first time received counseling, and his name was not publicly revealed.
