March 3, 200521 yr uhm .. yes they do and don't kid yourself that the elite players don't focus most of their time on basketball or that NBA coaches are there to teach colleges spend more time in practice and more time on the fundamentals of the game than the NBA does with the summer rec schedule, light classloads and tons of practice time you learn who can play most players don't contribute until after they are 20 anyway .. why not make them prove themselves in college (of a d-league) for a year or 2
March 3, 200521 yr Hell Yea college B-Ball is back Greg Oden will be a hotter commodity than a furby in 2000 if this goes through.

March 4, 200521 yr another effect will be the potential rush of early enterants to this nba draft, shifting the balance of some of the upperclassmen
March 4, 200521 yr Oden's top 3 I believe are tOSU, Wake Forest and Indiana *dies* 701257[/snapback] but how heavily has he been recruited before this? it was a given he was going to the NBA

March 4, 200521 yr I'm too lazy to read the rest of the thread...but I approve whole heartedly about this. This may not be the best option, but it's better than what they have now.
March 4, 200521 yr I think Oden is a little overhyped. I watched one of his games earlier this year and wasn't overly impressed. Very raw still it seemed. It will probably be better for him to go to college.
March 4, 200521 yr Edwin Rios a sophmore maybe a junior from Miami High is already being scouted by NBA teams. Who are you or the NBA to say you cant earn a living making millions of dollars out of high school? I would never advise any athlete to go to college if they can go pro. Why take the risk, it may be a once in a lifetime chance. Ask Darius Rice if he rather of gone pro out of high school.

He wouldve been a lottery pick for sure. He was touted as one of the best players in the country.

March 4, 200521 yr go make a living elsewhere ... the NBA isn't the only league and they have a right to protect the interests on their league
