March 7, 200521 yr if the marlins struggle with their offense during any point in the season for a prolonged stretch...is Bill Robinson out of a job? i think he shoulda been gone last year during the summer during the stretch when they couldn't do squat
March 7, 200521 yr If this team fails to hit this year i think he's gonna be out of here because with this lineup there is no excuse for not scoring runs.
March 7, 200521 yr Bill Robinson probably should have been gone already, but I don't thinkt he hitting woes will continue unless Delgado or Cabs go down.
March 7, 200521 yr Bill Robinson should have been fired last year. It makes no sense that Rosey our PITCHING coach was fired when it was our HITTING that was the problem.
March 7, 200521 yr Author Bill's closer to Jack in age and more respected around the league than Rosey was. 704495[/snapback] u don't see why that would have any effect on anything. coach's jobs are to get players to perform. if the players aren't performing, then they've got the short end of the stick. bill may be respected more by the players than rosie was but if they're not hitting, no matter how well respected he is, he's gone. - all the marlins loved jeff torborg and when jack came in everyone was pissed cause they resepected jeff like a father. now look. they've got a grandfather to respect

Rosie was let go because he didn't get along with certan pitchers. If a coach can't get along with their players there is no way to help or improve them. It was a move that needed to be made.
March 7, 200521 yr Because you can coach, doesn't mean you can play. Because you can play, doesn't mean you can coach. That said, I still find it hard to believe that Lenny Harris wouldn't be a good hitting coach.
March 7, 200521 yr This is the "first go 'round" in S.T.; nothing to freak about yet...I mean, Delgado has yet to play. If in another couple of weeks we still can't hit, then we may need to get a little nervous, but so far, just let the guys get back into the (forgive the pun) swing of things...
March 7, 200521 yr Rosenthal was fired b/c supposedly the pitchers didnt respect him and did not listen to him when he was trying to coach them. Aside from that i hated that he was trying to change willis's delivery. Wiley thinks willis should maintain his windup and delivery, but that he needs to not rush pitches and stay consistent. He played very well the other day when he went 4 innings and only allowed 2 hits and no walks..
March 7, 200521 yr I thought Rosey was trying to get Willis to recognize what his best delivery was and stick to it. If that's changing his delivery, then what's Wiley doing? I think they're both good pitching coaches. Rosey got screwed. He was following McKeon's orders. The pitchers didn't want to listen to anyone's instructions. In the end, McKeon let him out to dry. Then again, Rosey and the other coaches weren't hired by Jack. This year, Jack was allowed to surround himself with his friends.
