March 11, 200521 yr Damn how bad does mike neu suck that we traded redman for him and he didnt even contend for a bullpen spot
March 11, 200521 yr Cave seemed decent last season when I saw him in ST. Anybody here have any "scouting" type info as to his potential?
March 11, 200521 yr Cut day. I heard the other day that teams can't send newly signed players and 40-man roster guys to the minor league camp until a full month of ST has passed. Is that true?
March 11, 200521 yr Cave seemed decent last season when I saw him in ST. Anybody here have any "scouting" type info as to his potential? 707558[/snapback] Cave had an excellent 2003 closing for High A Jupiter ,but really struggled when he was offered the opportunity to close in Double A Carolina last year. After the first couple of months last year he dropped back down to Jupiter, where he was adequate. He was placed on the 40 man roster following his outstanding 2003 campaign ,but was dropped from the 40 this year. He will probably be given a second chance at Carolina this year, but his ( and Flannery's ) time is slipping away. Both Resop and Messenger have passed him in terms of short reliever prospects. Baseball America does not rate him among the Fish's top 30 prospects.
